My Good Deed for the Year

Biker Dude called me this weekend. That is not an extraordinary thing as we usually chat when he is between women (and he is hoping I will change my mind about a bootay call). This call was a bit different...he asked me to take him shopping for a new suit. Now, Biker Dude is not what I would call a fashion plate. He thankfully recognized he needed some wardrobe direction. I agreed to play his personal shopper if he told me the real reason he wanted a new suit. Its actually kinda sweet: he was contacted by his childhood sweetie and they are going to have a reunion later this month. He wants to knock her socks off.

I dragged the man to Macy's for our first (and thank god!) only stop. He had some strange idea that Macy's = Sear's in clothing quality. Did I mention this man is also a whole lotta OCD and a former Marine???? He had to have a three-piece suit with a vest. He wanted these special tabbed collared shirts. He gave me a budget of $700 and after three grueling hours I had the man looking damn sharp. I found his suit, shoes, shirts, ties, belt, socks all for less than $450. I even sweet talked the helpful salesclerk into giving us about $70 off in various discounts (truth be told, I think she was glad it was me running my ass off and not her and that is why she gave the discounts).

On a couple of occasions I went into the men's fitting room with the man and we closed the door (the mirror could only be viewed with the door closed). It amused me to see the looks of 1)interest 2)amusement 3)surprise on the faces of the people who saw me come out of the fitting room with Biker Dude. I am quite positive they thought a little bootay action was going on in there (hell, he always was fast so I guess that was definitely feasible).

To his credit, he is eternally grateful to me helping him spruce his wardrobe and saving him a bundle. He took me out for dinner and drinks afterward. My eyes glazed over a bit hearing him recite the perfections of his new goddess, but the romantic soul that hides deep within wishes him the fairytale ending we should all get at least once in our life.

I figure I have done my good deed for the year...now its time for my fairytale ending!

The Oral Majority

There is nothing like a little (or in this case--a lot) of oral pleasuring to lift a girl's mood! Tex just rocks when it comes to lifting my spirits (temperature, orgasm level....). He popped over for a while yesterday to go swimming and one thing led to another. We eventually made it to the pool for some cooling down. Summer may end up being a great one after all.

Biker Dude did his best last week to convince me that we needed to get back together. He gave me some bull about having always cared about me and still cared about me. I had to kick him out of my apartment...that was a battle. He wanted to stay and keep me company-supposedly fully dressed through the night unless I changed my mind. He even offered to give me my favorite bedtime treat if I let him stay. What an offer! I had to turn it down though...that is a road I won't be traveling down again.

Biker Dude Swoops In

Yes, Utenzi, Biker Dude is back for more sassy sarcasm. I guess he ditched his latest victim and has returned to me to see if I am open for a little fun n games. Since he is treating on the beer and pizza, I humor him by keeping him company in public but the buck stops at my doorstep. I figure it is the least he can do for me after all the history between us. He puts out some moola and I put I out a few hours of my effervescent charm and wit.

You're next Utenzi! Didn't you mention something about me moving in with you???? Hmmmm, I don't think you could afford my champagne tastes darlin!

Once Again Walk the Road

I had coffee with Biker Dude last night. He calls and emails regularly and I figured if I met with him, he would stop all that.

I made it clear from the outset that booty calls would not be part of the equation.

He was trying to tell me something but he never really got to the point. He made mention that he has not been attracted to another woman since me though he has tried (yeah right!). He then said that he had been really stressed in the past year and made some very stupid decisions (like?????). Then he told me he was looking for quality and that was hard to find.

I really did not encourage that vein of conversation. I kept turning it to neutral subjects. Maybe he was trying to tell me he realized he loved me, I don't know exactly what he was going on about. I just know that my feelings for him are not in the romantic ballpark any longer. His life seems to be on track and he has some very positive things going on and I am happy for him. He is not someone I would like to try again with. There are only two guys that I would like a second chance with and his name is not on that list. There is something to be said for exclusivity.

We Interrupt Your Regularly Scheduled Program

I had started a post about my weekend journey, when I got roped into a chat with none other than Biker Dude. It is far more entertaining than my tales from NJ so I decided to post portions of the chat.

BikerDude (5:06 PM): I can tell you that I am working hard to do all the right things as a Dad, but there are times when I really need to take a break and be just a single biker dude with some good female adult company (Conversationally speaking)
SassyAssy (5:06 PM): well, that is life as single dad I guess
BikerDude (5:07 PM): Yeah I know, but sometimes I think I am going to go nuts you know
SassyAssy (5:07 PM): you do have a lot of stress on you
SassyAssy(5:07 PM): you getting to ride the bike much?
SassyAssy (5:07 PM): you & Donald back to being friends yet?
BikerDude (5:07 PM): Yes, No, No, and would you want to help me relieve stress, heheh
SassyAssy (5:08 PM): hmmm...not sure how to answer that last q. I will be glad to talk with you a few minutes if that will help you.
BikerDude (5:09 PM): Well, what can I say, that was really good as I remember. I was thinking about you when passing by the house today, and yes the conversation does help
BikerDude (5:09 PM): You know what I was thinking the other day
SassyAssy (5:09 PM): what?
BikerDude (5:09 PM): I know your going to kick me
BikerDude (5:09 PM): but
SassyAssy (5:09 PM): but?
BikerDude (5:09 PM): We never got to watch those movies you have.
SassyAssy (5:10 PM): yes, that is true
SassyAssy (5:10 PM): things came to an abrupt halt (SassyAssy digs digs digs)
BikerDude (5:10 PM): a little late now of course, but it was something I wanted to do with you
SassyAssy (5:10 PM): I don't exactly remember which ones now
SassyAssy (5:10 PM): I think 9 1/2 weeks
SassyAssy (5:10 PM): but memory is sketchy on the others
BikerDude (5:10 PM): No, no, no
SassyAssy(5:10 PM): I know you got some too
BikerDude (5:10 PM): not those
BikerDude (5:11 PM): the special ones
BikerDude (5:11 PM): remember
SassyAssy (5:11 PM): oh
SassyAssy (5:11 PM): those (Kama Sutra)
BikerDude (5:11 PM): yes, those silly
SassyAssy (5:11 PM): yeah, well, methinks you are far too conservative for those
SassyAssy (5:11 PM): you kept putting that off
BikerDude (5:11 PM): no, no, I'm not honest
BikerDude (5:11 PM): I really wanted to watch them, and now can say that I am kicking me for not
BikerDude (5:11 PM): hehehe
SassyAssy (5:12 PM): well, you should kick yourself for other things too
BikerDude (5:12 PM): yes, I know, I guess I am not as fearless as I thought, I guess I got a bit nervious there
SassyAssy (5:12 PM): whatever happened to [insert "HO"]?
Kim (5:13 PM): thought you guys got back together (I think that is her name [insert "HO")
BikerDude (5:13 PM): well
BikerDude (5:14 PM): that is one of those things that a guy just can never figure out I guess. You see I think I know what I'm doing most of the time, but then it seems I look around and find out I haven't a clue, hehehe [talk about side stepping the question]
SassyAssy (5:15 PM): well, unfortunately for your sex, not having a clue seems to be the rule of thumb
BikerDude (5:15 PM): yes, you could say that for sure, hehehehe
BikerDude (5:15 PM): but we keep trying and mean well. [at least when trying to get a booty call]
SassyAssy (5:15 PM): well, you had excellent luck finding me on POF, so I am sure you will again
BikerDude (5:16 PM): yeah, well, if you ask me, I think your much better quality then most out there.
SassyAssy (5:16 PM): awww thanks for that
BikerDude (5:18 PM): Well, I have to go and so do you. It was nice talking to you. thanks.

SassyAssy (5:18 PM): nice chatting with you
SassyAssy (5:18 PM): have a great nite & week!!!!
BikerDude (5:18 PM): thanks, you too

I swing between the two opinions that he just wants a booty call or he would really like to get back together. Not that he will get either. I really don't feel any satisfaction at this point if he is actually pining away for me and not just the sex. Maybe he just needs a listening ear, but he gave up the right to have my listening ear. So, how do you tell him to move on with his life without being mean?

Lonely as Hell

Yup, it is wallow in self-pity week for the old Sassy Assy. Heard from Biker Dude and we are going to see each other for a final exchange of lingering items and he wants to tell me about his bike week in Fl. His best friend told him he was an idiot for letting me slip through his fingers. I don't see any reunions on the horizon though. I miss him, but he is not the right one for me. I just wish I could dislike him or something so it would not hurt so much and when I am alone in bed...not wishing he was there. I am still dabbling with the internet dating scene to take my mind off him. Got a nice chatty friendship going on with Mr. Gorgeous Entrepreneur out of Ohio and a date with a local guy. I am not real excited over the latter, but oh well. I spent the weekend wondering if I did the right thing with Adorable Country Boy. I mean what if he had some dentistry work or something?

I have a great group of gals to support me, but they never seem available when I need them the most. My issue. I think I need a vacation.

I have to face the fact: I Am An Accent Snob

There it is! I thought I was snob free, but I discovered last night that I am an accent snob and I am canceling a date because of it. I have been chatting with Mr. Adorable Country Boy for a little over a week now and we have a big date planned for Saturday. I am canceling. My internet went poof last night in the middle of a chat so I grabbed up the phone and called him. We have never talked on the phone. It was a rude awakening. You see I have pics of him and his chat logs and I had this image in my head what he was going to sound like...a nice soft Southern gentleman's accent. WRONG! I could barely understand him his southern country boy accent was soooo bad. I could not wait to get off the phone, but Sassy etiquette prevented me from immediately hanging up. It was an agonizing phone call for me.

So I am sending him a "Dear John" email and no, I am not telling him I am canceling because of his accent. I am going to tell him another truth that I have been trying to avoid. I know in my heart of hearts if Biker Dude called me up right now and made amends I would give him one more try. I am not over him. I thought I could be a flip modern woman and shrug off the breakup and jump back in the ring. I thought I could pretend that he did not find his way into my heart. I just don't have the heart to do the dating thing right now. So I also plan to cancel the other date I scheduled for next week with a different guy.

And that decision is going to be a wise one for now for another reason: I am down to my last two classes for my BBA and they are going to be tough with two personal papers and two team papers due every week. Hell, I will be lucky if I have time to sleep between school and work.

I am going to end this post on a funny note. I had decided to text message adorable country boy yesterday. Well, his name is the same as the ex-boyfriend who turned gay. I thought I had deleted ex-boyfriend from my phone. NOPE! Guess who I was texting? OMG! and ex-boyfriend's last text message said to me "Luv ya"! I am hoping:

1) that he did not have my number plugged into his cell and thought I was just a random wrong number and not a stalking ex-girlfriend

2) that he was enjoying his joke whether he knew it was on me or not. I was mortified when I realized what I had done, but considering how last night turned out, I think I am glad it was sent to him instead.

PS:
So you guys don't think I am completely heartless, this is what I wrote to adorable country boy:

"I am afraid I am going to cancel on Saturday. I feel bad and I hate that it is so last minute, but I am feeling conflicted. I told you I had dated someone since I became separated. It is only recently that we stopped seeing each other and I thought I was just fine going right back into the dating scene. However, if my friend called me tomorrow and said he wanted to try again, I would go back without hesitation. That is not fair to you and you are so sweet that I just don't want to be the cause of any hurt. I realize I should have figured this out before now and I cannot apologize enough for what must appear as leading you on."

Also, I had a voice mail from adorable country boy at lunch and I let Ryan listen to it...she could not understand him either.

It's a Long Blonde Road

Fatman you can rest easy...all bets are off and the dating ditties will resume directly. I know you missed all the tales.

So the Sassy-Joseph dynamic just could not sustain under the pressure of the imitation of a real life. We did the mutual parting ceremony tonight which will be followed up by a brief blip at his apartment on Sunday as I gather the handful of belongings I left there. Well, the upside is no more drama and the downside is the sexlife is as pallid as ever. I guess I should be grateful that the last several months included more sex than any of the 38 years prior.

On a brighter note, my hair is getting longer and blonder. It should be the perfect length for Ryan's wedding in the fall for a girly swirly up-do. I am interviewing escort candidates for the big event so get your application in early all you single guys (yeah...I see that line being on the short end of long). Oh well, I have never had a date for a wedding so why break that lifelong cycle now? Just give me several bottles of champagne and I will dance the night away with my invisible friend Fred.

SassyKat and the Biker Dude

I have so many things I want to blog, but by the time I sit down to write, I forget half of the stories.

It is kind of ironic that from the arrival of Joseph in my life, SassyKat was rather wary of him because she is afraid of men. But now, several months later...SassyKat is in love with Joseph. Maybe it is the way he gets on the floor to play with her using a piece of string (when he thinks I am not around) or the affectionate names he calls her (Kung Pau Kitty, Morris, Felix, Fuzzball to name a few). Over X-mas when I was practically living at his place he even encouraged me to go home and pack up SassyKat so she could be with us. Anyway, SassyKat sleeps on my feet, but when Joseph is in the house...she sleeps on his feet. The little furry traitor!

My biggest goal this year is budgeting: time and money. I completed a partial financial budget this week and I have started working on my time budget. I have got to find the time to do what I love quite passionately and that is to write my blog and read all my favorite blogs. I am missing out on Miz Bohemia's adventures in Spain, Utenzi's science and book updates, Dave's quirky insights on life, the college life of Roselle, the adventures of Fatman, BuddhaBong's sarcasm, Corporate Whore Barbie's disgusting boss stories...I love all of them and when I was a non-dating individual, I had time to read and comment to my heart's content. I will be getting back to that soon because you guys should not be treated as fairweather friends. Most of you have been with me since the start of the fall of the marriage, the adventures in New Orleans, my dancing competitions, and you came back when I started anew.

Well, it appears that my visit to the lawyer has scared the ex because I got a text message from him on Friday that he would be putting me back on his plan. So I guess he decided to go back to the original plan we established...nice easy separation leading to a nice easy divorce. Unfortunately for him, I did speak with a lawyer and I will be expecting a bit more from him now...our verbal separation agreement (soon to be put to paper by moi) will be tweaked just a bit. Never make a Sassy Irish girl angry...it is not pretty. I really hate lawyers so I am glad he decided to get his head together. Maybe he should quit taking advice from his Ho.

Well, I know you guys who decided to stop by for a visit are shocked to see not just one entry today but two. The sky is falling so open those umbrellas!

Shoot the Moon

Biker Dude and I had a romantic weekend out of town and it was awesome! We went to Boone and Blowing Rock. The weather was unseasonable warm and incredibly beautiful. I got to see where Joseph lived several years ago and visit some of his stomping grounds. He showed me where he plans to take me skiing (OMG---does he realize what an incredible klutz I am? Does the fact that I tore my ankle to shreds in N'Awlins a couple of years ago simply by walking down some steps mean nothing to him????). His 40th birthday is coming up and I have some special plans for my man...and no, I don't intend to share with you guys. Let me just state for the record, that my man can satisfy me in ways I never even imagined. He is hawt! He is always showing his appreciation.

I think I reigned the ex in...I called him right after leaving the lawyer's office to inform him of all the goodies I would be taking from him after we both paid through the nose using lawyers to duke it out.

Other than those blippies...I am up to my blonde roots in school projects and business endeavors. I need a nice long vacation when school is out before I head into the MBA program or I am going to end up killing people. I really hate hate hate one of my team mates. I could write an entire blog about this self-absorbed bitch, but I will refrain for the time being.

I was thinking about friends the other day and how blessed I am with the special circle of people I have in my life. My friends Jadey & Bea gave me the most awesome belated X-mas presents: Bea gave me this handpainted martini glass called Glamourtini, in addition to some other glamorously themed gifts. Jadey made me a beautiful choker and gave me two sexy black tops to showcase it. Ryan gave me this delicate scarf. My gal-pals are fab! I know I can count on them no matter what. They have showed me time and again they will be there for me and I just cannot thank them enough. And Joseph? Well, this biker dude is a rock fer sure!

Peace out!

Buddha Speaks, Sassy Listens

Well, Buddha Bong has kicked a little Sassy Ass about her half-assed blogging ways.

Really, I could write a million things on my blog, but they would all be sappy rather than sassy. Domesticity has struck the Queen with a vengeance. With the new domestic arrangement has come a marked lack of time. I have two weeks worth of clothes to hang up. My laundry got done only because Joseph insisted on taking care of it for me (gotta love that man!). We have been running around like wild banshees getting things together for the girls and Xmas.

Last night we celebrated our one month anniversary. It was coincidental...we had discussed in the beginning that we were not going to do such things...gone to curb like so many of our other "not gonna do" list: leaving personal items at each other's house, driving each other's vehicles, speaking of long term commitment. He bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was driving this sweet machine the same day. Joseph decided his rule of no personal items left behind was "idiotic" (I already thought so, I just have never voiced it). Neither one of us can imagine not being together years from now...we complement each other so well.

Have I mentioned that my man can write? He wrote a short story for me. I was totally blown away. Did I also mention that I was so freakin turned on when he came roaring up the driveway over the weekend in his black leather biker outfit riding his smokin purple Harley? I was ready to jump his bones right then and there, but sadly we had to defer that until less people were around. I was sick on Sunday and he took real good care of me. I keep finding reasons to fall in serious like (I can't bring myself to say the other "L" word and neither can he)with my Joseph.

Bible Boy has been rearing his head via IM's. I just ignore them and hope he will go away. The declarations of undying love are a bit premature and irritating. Ex has reared his ugly head a couple of times too. March cannot get here too soon. You will be hearing my celebration party across the globe.

We will have Mandy with us beginning tonight through Sunday morning. What is it about the 4 year old set that they have the god-given right to suck the energy right out of their caretakers so they can hoover through their toys? Kasey will be with us over the weekend, possibly being joined by some of Joseph's family (his brother & sister who are into swinging--and no, that is not a family tradition)and a few of his friends. We are trying to plan a ski weekend in January for just the two of us for Joseph's birthday. I asked for a list of three things he wanted for his birthday. Can you guess what his response was? 1. Sassy naked 2. Sassy naked 3. Sassy naked. I told him I wanted a new list...I mean with that list he is getting his birthday gift virtually every day of the year.

We have also been forging our own set of traditions. Joseph is a man of tradition and we have drifted into our own special traditions...wine with every meal, a kiss before we eat, his morning coffee.

Hope ya'll have a wonderously happy holiday season!

Blogger Schlepping

I tell ya, I have become the biggest blogger schlepp around. My time is precious and I chomp at the bit to blog, but I have had not a spare minute to do so.

Last weekend I met the 4 year old and we bonded. She is an adorable little girl with the biggest blue eyes and sweet smile. We were laying on the couch together Saturday nite watching a video to get her into sleep mode. She turned around and gave me a big hug and kiss and told me she loved me very much. Well the old heart strings were mightly tugged. Biker Dude was a wee bit worried Saturday morning when Mandy & I met for the first time. I got there and he had to run a few errands so I was babysitting. She was fussy about him leaving--understandably so since she and I just met. He was torn about leaving; I pushed him down the hall and told him to leave it to me. I got down on eye level with her and asked her if she wanted to play a video game on my laptop. Her fussing stopped immediately and off we went.

Later on Saturday, he took Mandy and went off with his best friend to purchase the groceries for the big Italian feast he was cooking on Sunday for us all. I took Kasey the 15 year old for a manicure and some shopping. Kasey and I hit it off very well because we have a lot of things in common. She is happy that Joseph and I are dating.

Then Joseph, the kids and I met up with his best friend and 2 of my good friends for dinner at the Outback. Everyone meshed very well and we had a great time. It was pretty funny when Mandy burst out with some popular song (Take your clothes off, it is getting hot in here). Definitely not an appropriate children's song, but Kasey had taught it to Mandy earlier and what can you do but laugh (and pray she forgets it quickly)? My friend Jadey called me later that night and told me that she really liked Joseph and it especially impressed her that he paid such good attention to me, was very affectionate with me, and he was a good father. I am glad my friends like him.

Sunday's Italian feast was a huge success. I spent the majority of my time with Kasey...taking her shopping (again!) and to the tanning bed. She likes hanging out with me and thinks I have the coolest apartment. I really like Joseph's best friend and his family...and they really like me. Dan told Joseph I was a keeper and if he ever decided he did not want me, Dan would snap me up in a heartbeat.

OMG I have become soppy and freakin boring! Truly, we have much humor and laughter, but most of it I forget by the time I get to the blog (or I can't share the story). I laugh and smile more with Joseph than I have my entire life. That man makes me laugh almost constantly and that is quite a feat. Fatman hit it on the head when he said there would be no more stories of psychos lurking around on the dating fringe...at least not for a long time. The gates to the graveyard are shut for the time being.

I will make the blog rounds and get caught up my fine blogger friends. You are not forgotten, no matter if I don't visit every day.

Life Apart from Biker Dude

I really do have a life apart from coupledom. I have been doing the new tai chi class which is a lot of fun. I am also going to be starting a yoga class next week. Some of us livelier folks at work have been going bowling on our lunch hour every Thursday. Sassy O'What an Assy has been bowling pretty darn good (118 highest score, but hey, I was shooting for 50 so cool!) and our impromptu bowling team thinks I am a scream to bowl with...I talk a lot of smack. I also have Ryan time (no matter what she says...she has been blowing me off) and Jade & Bea time. In fact, last Sunday Jade gave me the most awesome hot stone massage and facial. I thought I died and went to heaven.

The shopping weekend with my friend Bea several weeks ago was a lot of fun. We chose to shop rather than go dancing that weekend. I passed a major milestone in my life that weekend. I really like the store Cache, but I have never been able to wear any of the clothing there because I just was not in their "ideal" size range. Well, Sassy has apparently shrunk her Assy (and other top heavy assets) because I am now the proud owner of the most awesome silk leopard print halter top from Cache. I am thrilled!

Jade and I are planning a jaunt to go dancing all weekend soon. Our dancing school has become more interested in being a nightclub. Nothing wrong with that, but we want to dance tango and rumba rather than hip hop. So we are planning a trip to spin out on the dance floor for an evening or two with this yummy dance instructor/friend of hers.

Tonight I am booked to capacity. I am helping a friend make a scrapbook for her daughter and then I am off to spend time with Ryan working on homework. No Biker Dude on the scene yesterday & today. We decided we both need to keep perspective and spend time with our friends apart from each other. Absence does make the heart grow fonder...Biker Dude just told me this morning that he really misses me. He said he never thought he would say that to anyone again.

Of course, the rest of my weekend is all Biker Dude's. I meet the 4 year old tomorrow. We spoke on the phone yesterday and she is a chatterbox after my own heart. Biker Dude and I are taking the girls out to Outback tomorrow night. We are both bringing some good friends with us to start the couple-merge process. Great company and good food sounds like a recipe for a wonderful evening. Sunday, Biker Dude and I will be cooking an Italian feast for his best friend's family. Really, Biker Dude is doing the majority of the cooking (his specialty & pleasure) and I will be supplementing with the sides and probably dessert. At some point, Biker Dude & I will be taking the 4 year old back to her mother's. Biker Dude & I will find out how compatible we are as traveling companions; which is crucial in our relationship if he is going to turn me into a hot biker chick.

I like normal and peaceful and steady. You see, most of the guys I have gone out with then & now and the nutjob I married were always missing one or more of those traits. It AMAZES me (as it does Biker Dude) how completely we seem to be on the same page and in the same place life-wise. It is natural between us...I don't even know if I have the words to explain this phenomenon. It is just "right" when we are together. We were joking this morning that hopefully 20 years from now we would be together and it would be the same atmosphere between us. I like the fact that we are both cool about not marrying, but having a committed relationship. I guess that could change 5+ years down the road, but we were both so burnt in the marital department that neither of us wants to go there, but never say never. He (thankfully, since I cannot pony up) does not want any more children. He is a man who is capable of being attentive to both me and his children and balancing our respective needs of him fairly. Let me tell you, that impresses me the most because that is something I never experienced in the marriage. I was always 4th person on the totem pole. In fact, Biker Dude + kids almost got him kicked to the curb, but I did some careful investigating on his parenting/significant other style. If he holds true & constant to what I have seen, we will get along fine.

This man LOVES the fact that I am an independent woman and I can take care of myself. In my experience, this is a rarity in most men as they like to "take care" of the woman completely. It is amazing we gave each other a chance initially. I mean I would never ever ever have gone out with a biker dude and he would never ever have gone out with a white-collar princess with short hair, but we decided to go outside the box and it seems to be working. We actually have more in common than not. He told me the other night after we got back from a shopping trek that when he was walking behind me he said my short hair looked incredibly sexy just bouncing around my head as I walked. He has never dated a woman with short hair before and it surprises him how much he likes it. I am surprised how sexy I find the bald head/black leather/bandana outfit. Not that he has worn that since we met, but I have seen pictures. I like his bald head and I never thought I would go for bald. Have I mentioned that he has a deep sexy voice? I know, I have veered off the intended path of life apart from Biker Dude, but what can I say? I like my time divided thus: 90% Biker Dude, 10% Sassy time.

Perking Right Along and Tagged by Dave

My sides hurt from laughing so hard. Biker dude is a riot. This man keeps a smile on my face. He cooked this huge Italian feast for me and his 15 year old daughter. He warned me ahead of time not to expect anything from her except politeness because she never likes anyone he dates. Well, Mz Teen really liked me. We actually have a lot in common and she actually sought out my company. She told him it was about time he dated someone classy. This weekend, I will be meeting the 4 year old daughter. It should be a fun weekend.

We have spent every day together for a week now and it just keeps getting better. This guy is a gentleman through and through. He waits on me, and yes, I wait on him equally. He washes up when I cook dinner and he is coming over tomorrow nite to hang all my pictures and hook up my surround sound. He is just not used to SassyKat. He calls her Morris. They just sort of glare at each other for a while. I have to referee them when they jointly via for my attention.

Have I mentioned he is an awesome kisser? That is just one of his many talents. We have a nice time just sitting and watching a movie or chatting over coffee. I feel settled and at home with him and he feels the same. Our little ritual when he has stayed at my house is for me to get up early with him and make his coffee in a travel mug for him. He has never asked me to do this, it is just a little thing I enjoy doing. I never never get up early for anyone unless it is critical, but this darling man brings this desire out of me. I like seeing his eyes light up when I hand him his coffee on his way out the door.

I apologize bloggy friends for not keeping up on my own blog & yours. I will be getting caught up this week in between Biker/Sassy time, school, work, and sleep.

Visions of Harleys Dancing in My Head

Wow! Busy week! Biker dude and I have been spending every available moment together this week. He is simply fantabulous! We spend hours talking and it seems like just minutes have gone by. He is very romantic and affectionate. We have a connection that I don't recall having with someone else before and it is nice. So I am just enjoying the ride and we shall see what happens. I am not going to share anything else at the moment...I want to bask in the glow for a while.

Now, bible boy is turning into stalker boy. I am getting Im's from him declaring his undying love and that we belong together, blah blah blah. Just another case of wanting what he can't have. I might have to kick some butt before this plays itself out. Thankfully, he has not shown up on my doorstep yet. Ryan thinks it is just a matter of time.

While I love the coupledom I have going on, my SassyKat is loudly protesting my lack of attention and my school work is woefully behind. Today, I have a chunk of time to devote to finally clearing out the last frontier in my apartment from the move. It is floor to ceiling, wall to wall boxes and crap that need to be unpacked and put away.I also need to do about 4 chapters of statistics homework (if I don't fall asleep). Then tonight, Biker Dude is cooking for me and I get to meet his oldest daughter (15). Have I mentioned that Biker Dude is Italian? I really do have a thing for Italians. I have not stopped smiling all week and Biker Dude says the same thing. We are both in serious like of each other...it is soooo cool. Of course, he is bound and determined to get me on his Harley this spring...we shall see...

Gobble Gobble

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving (if you celebrate!).

I dragged my butt out of bed early Thursday morning to do a 3.3 mile charity walk. I am not a morning person, but I promised my friend I would be there. It was fun and invigorating. The event was the first one for this particular organization and they were shooting for 150 participants. They ended up with close to 1000 participants. Isn't that awesome? All 5 of us are going to do another charity walk in a couple of weeks. They are sort of addictive. Glad I can help while having some fun.

I spent my Thxgiving with these lovely people:

>

We had a great time. We ate, we drank, we watched funny movies. It was the best Thanksgiving I have ever had!

Here is the update on the Sassy Dating World:

Bible boy has been around almost every day. Confusion reigns on this one. Especially when he looked me in the eye and asked me if I have ever let someone love me...you could have heard a pin drop. Then there was the gift he bought me...it was perfect...funky, ethnic jewelry set...something I would buy myself. The Ex never did get the jewelry purchasing for me correct in the 9 years we were together--that is, when he bothered with it. It was kind of spooky for me. Bible boy is gone for the weekend and we will be hooking up on Sunday nite.

Biker dude has been around every day. He is hysterical. I laugh til I cry with him. He told me he is really really into me...I just don't know that I am really really into him. He is a romantic...yeah, I got a romantic, sweet biker dude. He loves the fact that I walk to the beat of my own drum and that I am unique. He said he has never met a woman like me before. We spend hours on the phone and Im'ing and we never run out of conversation. Our next date is Monday nite (if I have not killed myself with the new yoga/tai ji class I have enrolled in).

Mr. DC 2006 is currently in the UK. He wants me to come with him on his next trip over there...I just might. I think I could put up with a boring engineer for a week in exchange for an all-expense paid trip to UK. We shall see if that was a legit invite.

Newbies on the scene:
Bob the air traffic man. He has been bugging me to come spend the evening with him at the airport (very small airport) while he tells everyone where to go. Have not done so yet. Probably see him next weekend. He is a widow with two girls. Another ex-military man. (I have a marine & naval guy in the queue).

Hottie Latino CPA. He has an incredible body & very very good looking. I don't think he is a CPA, but I was trying to give benefit of the doubt. He is being kicked to the curb because he whipped his (incredibly huge) willy out on webcam while we chatted. He has apparently run through all the women in his part of the state and is now looking further afield to spread his, uh, seed. 'Nuff said. Shame, he is hot, but I think he has been around too many blocks for my taste.

Mr. 26. This youngster wants to get to know me...I think I will pass...the age is a little off-putting especially after the book boy experience.

Having a Sassy Weekend:

I am taking a girl friend out of town for a salsa dance festival. She is feeling a bit down and I want to cheer her up. We are going shopping & dancing...two things we both love. Our aspirations are pretty simple: 1) have some drinks 2) dance with some guys 3)find some great bargins 4) laugh.

Ciao my darling blogger friends! I do miss you guys! If I can get the photo feature to work again I will post the latest greatest Sassy photo sometime this weekend. It just is not happening right now. You might be able to look at my Flickr box and see it though.

Multi-Tasking

Last night when bible boy came over, I was IM'ing Harley man and Italian Stud #3 at the same time. It was a bit uncomfy for me. Then while bible boy & I are looking up something on the internet, a new admirer from Yahoo personals pops up on IM introducing himself, telling me how pretty he thinks I am. I felt like an Instant Message Whore. I got over it though.

Dinner was very nice last night as it has been with bible boy 99% of the time since I have known him. And the boy can do wonderous things with his mouth...visions of sugar plums dancing in my head wonderous things; Sassy weak-in-the-knees wonderous things...come hither to the bedroom right now and take me on the bed wonderous things. Lets just say dessert lasted quite a while. Lets just say Sassy is smilin' and tinglin today.

So Much Time, So Little News

WOW! I have been nominated for the
2006 Weblog Awards. So if you like my blog...head on over there. I am not sure who Greg is, but he nominated me...thanks a bunch!

The dating shoes did not quite make it to the box. I chatted with Harley man for 2 hours Saturday nite. It was a blast...he has a great sense of humor and is very easy to chat with. He thought the same about me. We then chatted for about 45 minutes this morning and ended up meeting for coffee. We spent two delightful hours together and as a bonus, he is a computer guy, so he tweaked my laptop for me. I got home and he sent me an IM to tell me how wonderful I looked and that he had a great time with me. Our next date is dinner sometime soon. Our date after that will be him cooking me dinner at his house and watching a movie. Kudos for Ryan for insisting I answer his email.

I got another wink from a Jeffrey. He is three hours from me, kinda cute. Wants me to come see him...not sure about that, but I agreed to chat with him sometime.

I have not kicked bible boy to the curb. I just feel so darn sorry for him and he did attempt to show up Saturday morning to help me move my furniture. However, a gal-pal rearranged her schedule and we had it finished by the time he showed up. So we are chatting last nite and he tells me he went on two meet-n-greets with potentials from the dating site we use. I asked if he had a good time. I am all for him seeing others. He then proceeds to tell me that they did not compare to me: not as sexy, not as fun to be with, not Sassy...

Dave, your comment on my last entry...I am certainly not lacking in dates and frankly, I thought I would be dateless for a long time to come. It is a nice feeling to have dates. I was just Mz. Crabcakes on Friday thanks to the ex. I went home, chilled, did homework, and went to bed early and that did wonders.

Bible boy finagled a dinner invite out of me for tomorrow nite for leftover Sassy Lasagna. I think Harley man will be calling tomorrow or the next day to arrange our date. Life is good at the moment.

Ryan Says "I Told Ya So!"

Bible boy has been on the peripheral since last Saturday's "incident". Since then, we have 1) talked on the phone 2) IM'd 3) met for lunch 4) he came over to the house for a while and hung out. I do like him as in friends like. I try hard not to judge people because of issues and problems. I usually will not kick someone to the curb because of, say, a drug or alcohol problem (does not mean I will date them though). I invited him to a dinner party I am having Sunday nite and he accepted with delight.

Then yesterday, I sent bible boy an email requesting his help this weekend. I just need him to drive his car and let me load a few pieces of furniture in it. I told him I would not require him to lift or carry a thing. I just don't have room in my car for all three pieces of furniture I have to pick up. Has he responded yet? NO! Did he get the email? YES! I asked him about it via IM last night. He said he did get the email, but did not give me an answer and got off the IM pretty quickly. I shoot him another IM later to find out what was up with him. No response. So I get up this morning to an IM that is real chatty about this healthy eating seminar he went to, but again no response to my plea for help. Nada zip! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Ryan's take is that he has been drinking again--hence the dual personality again. She must be right. So I think I will save myself further aggravation and kick him officially to the curb. Just irritates the hell outta me. Say yes or no to the help...such a stupid, childish way to be.

Another irritation this week: Mr. DC 2006 has been IMing. He is nice looking, but he is an engineer. A dull, quiet engineer with no sense of humor. I really should post the archive of our exciting chat the other night (it is kept on my laptop at home and I am doing this from the office). And he keeps coming back for more? Is he a sado-masochist? He appears about as enthusiastic about our chats as a corpse. He met my suggestion that we meet with a "yea". That was it!

Ryan gave the three thumbs up to Mr. Harley man. He is a bald (I guess sorta cute?) harley driving guy who contacted me on the dating site. I agreed to chat with him (after Ryan insisted that I respond positively to his request). Have not done so yet, sure that will happen this weekend. Maybe Ryan has a better sense about all these men cause she has puked at the mention of all the others except for Harley man and clearly since the rest are on the Dating Graveyard Hall of Fame, she has been right. I just don't see me wearing leather chaps and a funky harley helmut cruising down the highway of love.

Clearly, things are happening to make me appreciate being a single carefree chick. I could be in a relationship with alcoholic bible boy; I could be having horrid, unfulfilling sex with book boy on a regular basis; I could still be with the ex waiting to stab him or me with a plastic spoon. I am just going to have a great weekend and enjoy my solitude, my friends, my cat, my freedom. I don't want drama, I don't want emotional trauma and apparently the dating world is an either or situation where I am concerned. I think I am going to not just hang up, but box up, these damn dating shoes. I think my sense of humor took a hike during an IM session.
