The charming town of Sequim (pronounced Skwim) really was nice and relaxing, but a city girl needs city lights. I got into Seattle late yesterday in time for a date with David, from here on out aka "Creep Boy." Creep boy appeared to be the perfect gentleman, opening my car door, making sure I got in, opening restaurant doors, and just being damn considerate. At a certain point in the evening Creep Boy decided to bring up Ted Bundy. He knew more than the average human knows about everyone's favorite serial killer. A frightening amount...down to what size undies good ole Teddy wore before getting some sizzle in his shizzle. I tried to put this down to nervous talk and overlook just how weird that was to be discussing on a first (and only) blind date. He then took me to the Needle and proceeded to kiss me. Ewwww....bad kisser. I went into lockdown mode, but he was slow on the uptake. I scrubbed real good when I finally made it home...ewwww...still have chills.
The next date took place today. Sean...aka "The Twins" and I have been talking on the phone. We met at the bar in my hotel today. He was as hot in person as on his profile. Charming, witty, sexy. He had a million watt smile and seemed quite taken with me. We finished our drinks and he took me to lunch at a darling place in Alki Beach. As we drove back into downtown, he told me a block away from the hotel, "I am not feeling this" and he dropped me, not in front of the entrance to my hotel, but some random curb near the hotel. I guess I should explain that he had at least 4 drinks while with me and at some point mentioned that perhaps he drank too much--hahahahaha. So my charming sexy date became a sullen dark cloud who didn't have an ounce of decency. Can you say split personality? Alcoholic? Seriously weird? I have no issue with him deciding he wasn't into me (although that appeared pretty strange since he couldn't hide the obvious attraction to me), but dumping me out of his car? After a pleasant afternoon together? Low class and just too damn strange.
But the dating scene isn't totally awful here. I went out with Brian. Brian was not my first pick. In fact, I almost blew Brian off, but he sent some seriously funny emails that showed signs of intelligence. Brian took me for my first ever motorcycle ride. Brian is sweet and thoughtful. I don't find Brian attractive. I find him sweet and silly and smart and snarky. Dammit! If only I could put Brian's personality into The Twin's body...I would have the perfect man! *sigh* Isn't that life though...we want what we can't have and don't appreciate what we do have. But I have made a friend for life in Brian and he is coming out to visit me at some point this year.
So I have a few more dates to go on while here...and they are being approached with much less enthusiasm. I am not looking for the man of my dreams out here...just a nice time with some new friends...the outlook is not good my friends. It may be raining men, but it is a freak parade for the most part. I will say this, the gay men out here LOVE me. My new found friend at Sephora, Enrique, just loves my glam hair and he was putting so many free goodies in my bag tonight you would have thought I hit the Sephora lottery. Happy Sephora Birthday to me!
Speaking of birthdays, if you hear of a Vibrator of the Month club, send the info my way, BOBs are just way less trouble for a busy girl.
